My Ellura Review and Giveaway

Ok, ladies. This one's for you.

All the menfolk, feel free to read along. Yes, this can affect you too.

If you're like me, you're one of the 72 million women in the US who will/have had to endure a urinary tract infection (UTI) during her lifetime. Scary statistic! 1 in 2 women will be affected by these troublesome bacterial infections, and 10% of women will have 3 or more each year.

Without going into too much detail, a UTI is an infection in which bacteria enters the urethra and travels up the urinary tract. If left untreated, it can reach the kidneys and cause further, permanent damage. Yikes! And although less common, men can contract these infections too.

Now, I've tried just about everything to fend-off an infection when I feel the warning signs coming on. From downing over-the-counter cranberry pills to chugging gallons of water and cranberry juice. (Please please please, if you're going to drink cranberry juice to help make sure it's 100% cranberry juice and not those "cranberry cocktail" drinks. The "cranberry cocktail" has VERY minimal actual juice in it and tons of sugar, exasperating the condition.)

Enter Ellura. *heavenly sounds*

What is Ellura?  It's not your ordinary cranberry pill.

Ellura is the only cranberry supplement on the market that is clinically proven to meet the requirements of a government health claim.
The French government (ANSES) states that cranberry products with 36 mg of PACs “reduce the adherence” of bacteria to the urinary tract walls.

Simply put, this means Ellura works at preventing bacteria from adhering to the walls of the urinary tract. By doing this, the bacteria just flushes out with urine and doesn't have a chance to multiply and cause infection.  According to many health claims, the strength of cranberry supplements must meet or exceed 36 mg of PAC's (proanthocyanidins) to effectively help clear the urinary tract.  Ellura is the only one out there that meets this requirement.  You'd have to take 257 AZO cranberry pills to receive the same amount of PAC's as ONE capsule of Ellura. I don't think my stomach could handle 257 pills a day!

I'm only on day 6 of the 30-day cycle, and I can tell you that my bladder feels great!  I wasn't suffering through any signs of infection when I started this regimen, but that's the beauty of it.  Ellura can be taken everyday, at the onset of symptoms, or before and after intercourse!  The only way I can describe how I know it's working is that my bladder feels like how my stomach and whatnot feel after doing a whole-body cleanse. Best feeling ever!  Another great thing about Ellura is that it's been shown to be active in the urinary tract within 3-4 hours, as opposed to 8-12 hours with the competition.

If you're looking for a great preventative measure against UTI's, or hoping to nip one in the but at the early-onset of UTI warning signs, Ellura might just be for you!  It definitely gets two thumbs up from me.

If you currently have a urinary tract infection, Ellura will NOT cure it. Please see your physician, as antibiotics are the only sure-fire way to make sure it's gone for good.
