Slice Safety Cutter Review

Any couponers out there?

This review is dedicated to you!

I recently stumbled upon  slice™ Safety Cutter - Great for couponers, and it's a really neat little tool!  I don't do a ton of couponing, but the beauty of the Slice is that it's a multiple use cutter.

Slice Safety Cutters are perfect for scrap-booking, clipping recipes, coupons and news articles, removing shrink-wrap, opening CDs, DVDs, plastic packaging, and more.

- Ceramic blade lasts longer than steel
- Stays sharp and never rusts
- Built-in magnet and key-ring hole
- Rubberized non-slip finish
- Finger-Friendly™ Design
- For left- and right-handers

Here it is in it's packaging, which opens easily from the back.  I had some magazines laying around, so I decided to go through them and use Slice to cut out any interesting recipes.

To use the safety cutter, all you have to do is lay the bottom flat against the item you want to cut and slide it along.  The only downfall I've found with this style of cutting vs using scissors is that you need something protective underneath. (ie- cutting board, extra paper) The tiny ceramic blade doesn't look like it'd do much damage, but it can cut through several sheets of coupon/magazine paper with one swipe!  The Slice is finger-friendly, meaning it won't cut your skin if you slip and graze your hand. It's easy to carry in your purse so you can easily cut coupons at the store, great for scrapbooking, safe for the kids to help you with. Slice gets a thumbs-up in my book!
