Jace is discovering a love for music, much to his momma's delight. I catch him bouncing up and down when there's a musical part in a movie and sometimes just to the music in his head, I'm sure. Now he's got some of his own music to listen to!
Birdie Mendoza, former backup singer for Ray Charles, has launched her own adorable kid's music CD titled The Wild World of Wildlife. It's a fun upbeat collection of educational children's songs set to the beat of worldly music. Her rhythmic music teaches kids about wildlife, such as elephants, fiddler crabs, and iguanas. Ranging from South American beats to country, this album has something for everyone!
Birdie's creation has won a Parent's Choice award and a Gold Award (the highest honor) from the National Association of Parenting Publications, so you know it's good stuff.
Jace and I particularly liked Elephant in the Congo (which sends the message to avoid buying ivory) and You Can't Catch Me. You can listen to the tracks on Birdie's site and sing along with the lyrics!
You can buy a CD or download or purchase the songs on Itunes.
Follow Birdie on Facebook and Twitter, too!
Be sure to come back and visit on January 10th for your chance to win a copy of Birdie's The Wild World of Wildlife for your little one!
