Sponsor Spotlight: SunBaby Diapers {Review}

I've heard tons of cloth diapering mamas raving about SunBaby diapers, but only recently had the chance to try one out to see the wonders for myself.

A little bit about Sun pei, the creator and founder of SunBaby Diapers:
Hi, I am Sun pei, a wife and a mother of a 28 month old boy. I am 28, born and brought up in Shanghai, which is the richest and most modern city in China. I knew nothing about pocket cloth diapers 2 years ago. I accidentally found out about it when I was buying baby products for my son who was about 5 months old at that time. My husband and I researched and found out more about modern day cloth diapers and thought it would win a large market in the future. So we began our business of cloth diapers and Sunbaby Diapers were born.
 I received a size 2 SunBaby 4.0 pocket diaper in the Diamond print to review, and I love it to pieces! I'm brand new to cloth diapering, so this is a part of my very first "stash."

Diaper Basics:
  • Adjusts to fit babies 7-35lbs
  • Waterproof PUL exterior to prevent leaks
  • 3 rise settings to grow with baby
  • Soft microfleece inner layer to wick away moisture
  • Comes in two sizes, to fit all babies
  • Absorbent microfiber and bamboo inserts

Let me start off by saying how much I LOVE this print! It's completely appropriate for both boys and girls, and dark colors always win-over my heart. SunBaby has a wide variety of adorable prints and solids which change every few months, so there's always something for every baby!

SunBaby diapers come in two sizes: Size 1 is the standard one-size diaper to fit most smaller/skinnier babies and Size 2 for the slightly larger/chunkier little 'uns. I received a Size 2 diaper because of Jace's high height percentile...he needs that extra rise/length!

SunBaby diapers can be ordered with 0-2 inserts each in either microfiber, super soft bamboo, or bamboo blend. I got to try the microfiber insert with a smaller microfiber doubler.

Jace is slowly becoming a heavy wetter, and we've found that either these two inserts together or two microfiber inserts will last him 3-4 hours during the day before becoming completely soaked. Nights are kinda hit-or-miss, but usually two of these microfiber inserts will hold him over all night.

What I especially love about the SunBaby design is the large pocket opening with a plush micro fleece cover to prevent leaks and blowouts. Most pocket dipes we own have elastic on all sides of the pocket opening, but SunBaby makes it easier to remove a dirty insert without getting filthy! Also, the micro fleece flap really is amazing at keeping the wet insert away from the top of the diaper (and shirts, pants, etc.)

Our SunBaby has become one of our go-to diapers because if it's roomy fit. If Jace needs an extra insert, it fits easily without bunching up in a tight-fitting pocket. I'd feel confident using the PUL shell with a prefold, too!

The only thing that I don't care for as much is that, when stuffing the pocket, my hands and insert gets caught on a tiny extra flap of material about halfway through. This is probably a small manufacturing error, and it doesn't affect the performance of the diaper at all, but it can get a little annoying at times. The value you get with these wonderful diapers completely makes up for any small flaw!
