Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler {Review + Giveaway}

If your home is anything like mine, it's usually in some sort of disarray. Important papers are strewn about the table, trash sometimes sits in a tied-off bag by the door waiting to be taken out. The list goes on...but what you won't see laying around willy nilly these days are my recyclables, thanks to the Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler!

It's hard to find space for everything in a rented apartment, and the Hidden Recycler provides the perfect spot for holding reclaimables until trash/recycling day- out of sight, out of mind.

Pretty much everything about the Recycler is green-minded. The bag is made from 65% post-consumer recycled resin, and the whole thing is reusable (even the packaging is recyclable!)

Here are a few key features about the Hidden Recycler:
  • Easy attachment to a cabinet door with hooks included with the product or screws
  • A convenient handle allows the bag to easily be transported to wherever your recycling is stored for pickup or transport
  • A 5 gallon bag that holds up to 36 12-ounce cans and can fit a milk jug
  • The bag has a leak-proof liner and is machine washable to make it easy to clean after any unexpected spills
  • The bag is soft-sided allowing for flexibility inside any cabinet

 We've fallen in love with our Recycler. I mentioned its ease of use in an apartment setting briefly, and here's why!

The Hidden Recycler is very easy to use and install, and comes with two setup options: screws and over-the-cabinet hooks. So happy that there's a non-destructive way to use it, yay! There are only three components needed/included...the 5 gallon, leak-proof bag, a handle and rigid bag opening piece, and a solid plastic lid that hinges onto the bag opening in one fell swoop. Most convenient part? Once it's full (and believe me, it holds a lot) just pull the handle upwards and the entire bag lifts off it's hinges so you can carry it anywhere! Using the bag to hold aluminum cans to cash in? Bring the whole bag with you! Or just to carry your goodies out to the recycling bin...either way.

The Recycler is wide and deep enough to hold a milk gallon or two!
If anything accidentally spills inside of the bag, no biggie. Just toss it in the wash and it's good as new! This feature plus the fact that it's leak-proof has me coming up with new use about a quick and easy cloth diaper pail? I think that one just might work...

Jace LOVES that he can help put "trash" away (and take it back out) and jumps on the chance to help mommy!

Both Jace and I give the Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler 5 out of 5 stars! Love!
