This year will be Jace's second Halloween and we couldn't be more excited! We get to spend the week leading up to it with my family in California, presumably helping my mom decorate for her favorite holiday (mine too!) Last year we dressed our munchkin up as a chili pepper during the day and in just a Halloween themed outfit during the chilly night for taking his half brother trick-or-treating. Jace wasn't quite walking yet so we didn't let him walk around collecting treats, but I don't think we'll be able to stop him this year! Thankfully we've found a mobile child-friendly costume that we can layer under and over clothing to keep warm...Spiderman from the animated Spiderman and Friends!
This Spiderman and Friends costume from Wholesale Halloween Costumes fits Jace perfectly! I was a little unsure whether to order a 2t or 3t size, as he fits on most 2t clothing now and might grow some before Halloween. We went with the 2t and it has just the right amount of room to allow Jace to grow a little bit in all directions! This also gives us a little leeway for layering underneath depending on the weather, so we won't have to cover up this adorable costume with a jacket and sweats.
The costume consists of a jumpsuit, which has a Velcro closure in the back, and a fabric half mask. We're lucky if Jace keeps the mask on for more than 5 minutes at a time, but that's a typical little boy for 'ya. The mask also covers his ears, so make sure to hold lurks one's hands when wearing anything that could possibly impair hearing or safety reasons.
Spiderman's jumpsuit and mask are made from high-quality polyester and are both very well made! Even though we still have over a month until Halloween the mask has already taken a bit of a beating (well, tugging) and is still in new condition. This costume is definitely mom and toddler-approved!
