Give Your Hands A Break With The UGLee Ergonomic Pen! {Review}

For as long as I can remember I've always preferred using pens over pencils. Whether drawing or writing, there's just something about a smooth ball point pen that does it for me. After a little while of writing with standard stick pens, my hands tend to cramp up and my fingertips are left with sore dents from resting against the pen, UGH. Dr. Lee has come up with a solution for all of your doodling-needs: the UGLee Pen!

The UGLee Pen was created by Dr. James Lee, who did plenty of writing and note-taking in his days as a medical student as well as in his current field. He decided to make it his mission to create a truly comfortable ergonomic pen that can be used by everyone, young and old. After more than 8 years of trial and error, the UGLee Pen was born!

These pens truly are unique. To start off, they are lighter than your average pen, weighing in at just 11 grams (less than 1/2 an ounce!) Less weight means less inertia and less stress on your hand. I might also add that the weight in these pens is superbly balanced. There are few things more annoying than a top-heavy pen that skews your writing style, and these do no such thing. I can easily balance the center of the pen on my fingertip!

Second, the grip on the UGLee Pen is not like your ordinary "comfort" grip. It is made of a squishy gel material that has give, but not too much give. It is full-sized, meaning that the grip material covers not only your fingertip area but the entire lower half of the pen, giving you more coverage and comfort. It is also designed with special contours and patterns to allow you to achieve the perfect grip on your pen. No more shifting around until your fingers fit into pre-molded grooves, this baby works wonders no matter where you grab it!
Unique contours to fit every hand
My favorite feature of these crafty pens is the ink that they use. I've never in my life had such an easy experience writing as I have with the UGLee Pen. The pen requires such little pressure to write that it feels as though my hand is just gliding over the paper.

The only downside that I have encountered with the UGLee Pen is that they require a bit of scribbling to "warm-up" after not being used for even a few hours. While not a deal breaker, and not a flaw that affects the purpose of the pen, it has proven to be a bit annoying to have to find scratch paper to doodle on before each writing session. Overall, I love these pens. I only wish that I'd had them in my school years to make my life a bit easier!
